Hello, and welcome to the International Organization for Secure Commerce! The IOSC was started earlier this year as an organization dedicated to promoting secure business practices. Details on our organization, The Secure Commerce ProtocolsT, our education activities and our certification program can be found elsewhere on this site. The IOSC Board of Directors has had a very busy year so far. We have developed our security standards, put together our secure commerce certification and education program and established our membership requirements. We have also setup this web page. The Board of Directors has been visiting law enforcement and regulatory agencies, elected officials, and community and professional organizations to brief them on our operations. So far the response has been very positive! The next steps are pretty straightforward; spread the
word about our organization, deliver our education and certification
programs, and increase our membership. Our education programs are
on the schedule at EPCC, and word of the IOSC is spreading through
the professional community. The only thing missing is YOU as a
member. Please accept this invitation to join the IOSC. Attend
our training, get certified, and contribute to the development of an
exciting field. We look forward to hearing from you! |
The El Paso Times
published a story about the IOSC. The article appeared Sunday,
August 28, on the front page of the business section. Click

El Paso Economic Summit |

El Paso
Mayor John Cook recently hosted the 2005
El Paso Regional Economic Summit at the
convention center in El Paso. Kathleen Neal, the Secretary of the
IOSC Board of Directors, served as chairperson for the manufacturing
group. She was also a speaker during the session focusing on the
economic impacts and future of manufacturing in the El Paso area. Several
other members of the board were also in attendance. |

UTEP and Congressman
Silvestre Reyes sponsored the 2005
Border Security Conference,
and the IOSC was in attendance. Several of our members attended
the reception and presentation sessions offered in the Undergraduate
Learning Center on the UTEP campus. As usual, UTEP did a fantastic
job as a host, and the panel presentations were interesting and informative. The
highlight of the conference was the lunch-time keynote address delivered
by General Michael Hayden, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence. The
event was a success, and the leadership of the IOSC is looking forward
to participating again next year. |
